FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AUTUMN LETTER 2004 September 16, 2004
To all our valued customers:
We hope that everyone has had a wonderful boating season and that you are still enjoying these warm late summer days. While I was bay testing a boat the other day, the bay water was clear and the smell of the salt in the air was inviting. The warmth of the sun was entrancing and the gentle south wind was just perfect for a mid September afternoon. These are the things that keep us coming back to enjoy our natural surroundings year after year.
We would like to quickly inform you of some of the goings on around the yard this season. We have nearly reached the completion of our restoration of the “1911Camp Upton” building at the southeast corner of the yard. It is now a full fledged carpentry shop. We are also currently installing Suffolk County Water throughout the yard. Instead of just having this convenience at the boat basin, you can now feel confident that all faucets, restrooms and the shower stall have clean, safe drinking water. We are still working towards our DEC permits in order to replace the northern bulkhead and walkway.
We have installed some new security systems around the yard and some new lighting. We have installed cameras at the marina basin and at the yard entrance to help insure your security while enjoying our facilities. We are also installing an electronic gate at the entrance. All customers will receive an electronic device which will open the gate whenever they want to enter the yard. Non-customers, unregistered contractors and others will have to check in at the yard office in order to enter the yard. You can pick up your entry device by stopping by the yard office. There will be a small security deposit for the device. We may send out a separate notice about the system to everyone.
Feel free to check out our web sites. Just type in www.weeksyachtyard.com or if you’re interested, www.force5sailboats.com. Don’t forget to let us know early, what work you may need done in the off season. We look forward to continually serving your needs. Thank you for your patronage.
Best regards, Brian T. Weeks Brian T. Weeks Weeks Yacht Yard
